Background

Braifus Auctioneers , was established in 2018 under the Kenyan Business Name Act by Rufus Macharia who is the main proprietor and licensed auctioneer..

Mr. Rufus is a holder of Bachelors of Education degree from Kenyatta University having specified in Mathematics and Business studies . He also holds certification from other finance related institutions such as the Kenya School of Monetary Studies and the Kenya School of Management amongst others . He has over 9 years hands on experience in banking industry and specifically in credit management having worked in Equity bank’s credit department for 6.5 years and held various positions in credit management . Further, he served as the head of debt recovery unit at Jamii Bora bank for three years

Category of License & Jurisdiction

Mr. Rufus Macharia is a fully Licensed auctioneer by the Auctioneers Licensing Board Auctioneers license “Class B”. A class “B” auctioneer license allows the holder to undertake the following duties:
=> Execute Court warrants of attachment and sale of property in specific districts.
=> Levy distress for rent against defaulting tenants in specific districts.
=> Repossess property throughout the country.

We endeavour to serve notices to debtors as soon as we get written instructions from our clients.We aggressively market the property / assets through our website and by getting in touch with prospects contained in our huge database based on our previous hands on experience in the financial industry in such a way that by the time we are selling the subject/property / asset, success rate is highly guaranteed

Professional Indemnity Cover (Insurance)

We have a professional indemnity cover for Kshs 20 million with SANLAM Insurance Co. Limited.
We can obtain a higher Indemnity on clients request and on a need basis

We are licensed by the Auctioneers Licensing Board and are members of the Kenya National Society of Professional Auctioneers (KENSAP) and K.R.A tax compliant.

Fees | Charges

All contracts with our clients are based on the rates outlined in the auctioneers act 1996 (CAP 5 of 1996) and legal notice 120 of 18th July 1997 .
